Hibiscus flower belongs to the Malvaceae family of plants. The climatic conditions suitable for its growth are warm, tropical to semi tropical. It is among the very commonly grown flowers in India. Its extracts, flower and leaves are used because of its medicinal values in Ayurveda from ages. Here are some health benefits of this flower, which you would like to know.
Pain Reliever
Take one glass of water, 5 petals and 5 leaves of read Hibiscus. Boil them in water for 3 to 5 minutes. Cool it for one hour and drink it. Repeat it for 21 days, your 70% body pain go.
Increases Hemoglobin
Take petals of red Hibiscus flower and boil it in a glass of water. Boil it till it remains one half of actual one. Turn off the gas and let it cool. Drink this, repeat this for 21 days and raise your hemoglobin. (Do not consume during pregnancy).
Problem Related to Menstrual
Take petals of white Hibiscus and boil in water for 3-4 minutes. Drink it after cooling to room temperature; it helps in getting rid from menstrual pain.
Mood Swings
Boil red Hibiscus petals for 3-4 minutes in water and drink it once in a week. It will help in getting rid from mood swings and depression. Nature has provided number of unique fruits which shows tremendous results against mood swings and depression.
Hibiscus Face Pack
Make powder of red Hibiscus petals after drying them. Make paste of it by mixing with water or milk. Apply it on face after cleaning your face. It will make your skin glow and also prevents wrinkles.
Hibiscus Hair Pack
Take one egg. Grind leaves of red Hibiscus and add mix it with egg. Apply this pack over hair and leave for 20 minutes. Wash it, your hair will shine and dandruff will also go.
Use as Shampoo
Make paste of red Hibiscus flower petals and add some aloe juice also. Mix them well and apply over the hair as shampoo. It gives high nourishment and shine to hairs.

Some Side Effects
Blood Pressure Reduction
It reduces the blood pressure, therefore not recommended for people already have low blood pressure. They can face dizziness, faints and even damage to heart, if consumed by people with low blood pressure.
Not Recommended During Pregnancy
Hibiscus shows emmenagogue effect which is responsible for responsible for increase in menstruation. Therefore people taking birth pills and hormonal treatment should avoid its consumption.
Effect of Hallucination
Some people may experience hallucination after hibiscus tea consumption. Therefore first know your body’s reaction to its tea by consuming very small amount of it.

Enjoy Hibiscus Tea Recipe
1. Take 3 to 4 dried Hibiscus flower.
2. One cup of water and boil it.
3. Put dried flower petals in boiled water, cover them and leave for 5 minutes.
4. Drain it in a cup, add honey and lemon in it. Enjoy this tea.
