When around the world scope of hydrogen as the fuel of future is being under research, Hero has gone in step with world and unveiled its futuristic bike based on hydrogen fuel.
This has been designed and developed by Hero’s ecosystem of technology research and development, which has been established by Hero to find and work on mobility solutions of future.
Hero iON is the name given to it. This bike is designed to get powered by hydrogen fuel cell. This stunner is provided with hub less electric traction motor on the wheels, powered by hydrogen cells. The batteries provided in it are advanced Li-Air technology based, the technology used in it uses oxygen form the air directly, instead of using an inbuilt oxidizer to store it internally.
Suspension provided are also specially designed swinging arm pivot type, they provide a greater stability to vehicle. The bikes body has been beautifully curved master piece. Transmission system provided in it is automatic gear type. The front headlamp of bike are very powerful Halogen type. Heri iON bike is designed with drive by wire option. The console of instrument is full-fledged digitally configured along with tactile sensor features for easy control with figure touch. It has few more advanced features worth to mention like Vehicle Situation Awareness System (VSA), and MR Fluid Dampers (Magneto Rheological) which ensures better ride comfort.

1. Flex axis type steering and suspension system on the module of centre power gives great feel of manoeuvrability.
2. All time stability with multi axis gyros and accelerometers.
3. On road collision prevention by on board electronic sensors as a part of drive by wire technology. This feature improves handling by analysis of driver’s style. Continuous monitoring of traffic situation keeps suspension, power and brake on check every time. Important data of vehicle and driver is being stored in digital instrument console, which further is being sent to the driver’s helmet continuously.
