Amazing Car: Hussar vs Bowler Raptor BAJA 1000 Model

1. The Hussar Dakar Rally Car

Industrial designer are always busy to design the concept cars of future. Number of which are being made to public at different motor shows around the world, but few are not.

Klaud Wasiak an industrial designer dreamt to design a concept off-road rally racing car, which will be a glimpse of future of this high speed segment. The outcome of his dream is an astonishing and amazing concept Hussar Dakar Rally car. The inspiration behind the design of this vehicle is 18th century Winged Hussar cavalry uniforms of Poland. (The winged hussar were the member of light cavalry (horse cavalry) comprising lightly armed and lightly armoured troops mounted on horses).

This inspiration gives vehicle a unique appearance with rear wing structure. This structure is meant for both functional and aesthetic characteristics of concept car.

Rear Wings Functions
The wings are provided to give it an aerodynamic edge. The wings when are moved either to in or to upright breaks air power tremendously, thus reducing air resistance.

It also serves the purpose of generation of kinetic energy through movement. The mechanism used is just like KERS system used for F1 cars. These wings continuously generate vibratory and translator motion during the motion of vehicle. An advanced regenerative system for energy distributes kinetic energy so produced to different components of vehicle as per their needs.
Inside Design
It is designed in such a way that driver seat is at the center of vehicle. Two other seats are made a bit lower in comparison to driver’s seat, one for the navigator and one for engineer. Engineer can control and maintain the all stationary parts along with the rear wings. Driver seat provides makes it possible for him to have a vision field of 180 degree.

It really looks rock solid tough like warriors. It really seems to be ready for testing the endurance limit on rough terrain.
2. Bowler Raptor BAJA 1000 Model
Ryan Skelley a young and enthusiastic automotive design graduate student of Coventry University designed Bowler Raptor in 2009. It was designed by him to compete in off road championship BAJA 1000 held in Mexico. This stylish ATV was designed to cope the challenging, harsh and rough terrain of this race.

Its body structure is a perfect balance of modern superbikes and architecture. Its aggressive design comprises high functional body panel system. They are so designed that can be easily replaced when damaged as they are independent from each other, and are coupled with hex-head bolts. Carbon fibre is used chassis. A-Pillars are removed from it resulting in a cantilever type roof, which provides an unhindered view to the driver. It is equipped with alloy wheels to match its class aesthetics. In contrast tires used are dune buggy paddle clubbed with digital technology. Consciousness for environment is being shown by use of eco-friendly materials in this off road marvel.

It is equipped with electric drive system, using Lithium-Titanate  battery. They can be charged either with dedicated high voltage point or general wall socket. A unique feature named “Hot-Swap” is provided for battery system, which enables 1 minute transfer from discharged battery to fresh pack of it. Battery power is being fed to the Siemens electric motor coupled to a transaxle single speed type.

A navigation screen is provided at the center of dash, which can be connected with iPhone to have internet access, providing information related to weather, race statistics, GPS and enables communication between other members of team.
