Migraine: Symptoms, Types & Remedies

What is Migraine????
It is a severe form of headache. A person suffering from it will face acute pain either to the right side of head or to left side. The pain generally brings the symptoms of nausea and vomiting. It is a neurovascular disorder, in which blood vessel enlargement takes place resulting in secretion of chemicals from nerve fibres, which are present around blood vessels. The reasons for enlargement of bleed vessels are still hot topic of research. Currently genetic and environmental effects are considered as common reason for it.

Migraine Types
Aura Migraine:  In it symptoms of migraine are visual disturbances, double vision, balance loss and in some cases fainting can also occur. Aura describes the neurological symptoms of migraine.
Without Aura Migraine:In it acute pain is on one side of head, one may feel sick, vomits or shows excessive sensitiveness to sound and light.

Remedies
  • Eat 2 to 3 pieces of Jalebi (A type of Indian Sweet) made from clarified butter (preferably obtained from cow’s milk). Consume them with milk.
Try These Herbs
1. Basil (Tulsi)
 Basil ( Tulsi ) is very effective for the relief of headache due to its antiemetic and analgesic properties.  Nausea, vomiting are controlled by antiemetic properties, whereas analgesic relives the pain.
  • Take 4 to 5 basil leaves and crush them, take one fourth teaspoon of it with honey every morning.
  • Drop 2 to 3 drops of basil leaves juice in nose.
  • Consumption of basil leave tea twice in a day is very effective in migraine.
2. Ginger
  • Grind a piece of dried ginger in water or milk, apply it on head and sniff it.
3. Grape Juice
  • A glass of grape juice cures migraine if consumed daily.
4. Cabbage Leaves
  • Take a piece of cloth and tie fresh leaves of cabbage in it. Put this on forehead for some time and then change the leaves after sometime, repeat the procedure.
5. Lemon Zest
  • Apply lemon zest on the forehead; zest is the grated outer skin of lemon.
Herbal Mix Treatment
 
Treatment 1 
  • Take spinach about 1 handfull.
  • Green grapes about 250 gm.
  • Capsicum, Apple 1 piece each.
  • Slices of ginger, about 2 to 3 is enough.
  • 1 piece of lemon.
  • Grind all these ingredients and strain the juice thus obtained. Drink this juice daily.
 
Treatment 2
  • Beetroot, lemon and cucumber 01 piece of each.
  • Ginger slices 2 to 3.
  • Swiss Chard leaves 2 to 3.
  • Consume the juice of this mix daily by grinding and straining.
Risk if migraine not treated properly
It can lead to Brain Stroke.
